Below is an outline of how the “typical” process may transpire, however, each client’s needs, property and dreams are different. Contact us today to discuss what approach would be most suitable/beneficial for you.

  • Meet to discuss project goals, scope, needs, property potential and constraints, construction or phasing budget, and schedule. We will conduct an interview and may also begin a brain storming session with you to identify opportunities or potential solutions. Take photos, measurements and perform an evaluation/assessment of the property’s potential and existing condition.
  • Prepare base mapping either by hand or by computer, depending upon needs of the project. If necessary, coordinate obtaining a professional boundary and topographical site survey through a recommended surveyor.
  • Prepare preliminary design concept(s).
  • Review concept(s) with you. Discuss comments and potential revisions. Consider selection of materials if appropriate. The process may take several meetings with the homeowner depending upon the size and scope of the project.
  • Prepare a final plan incorporating any revisions necessary.
  • Present the final plan–this may also include presentation of sketches, three-dimensional drawings or photos depending upon the project needs.
  • Variations of the process can also include: review and selection of site materials, preparation of detailed construction drawings and cost estimates, obtaining permits or competitive installation costs, coordination with outside consultants, overseeing installation, etc.
